How to Break Metal Barriers in Yakuza Like a Dragon

Breaking metal barriers in Yakuza Like a Dragon is easy to do, but only if you’ve done a few specific things in the game beforehand.

To start, you’ll need to switch Kasuga to the Foreman jobs. This is possible after you’ve cleared about a third of the game and unlocked the ability to switch classes at Hello Work. It’s one of the first jobs you can unlock with him too, and only requires you to have increased your Charisma to level 3 or higher.

Once you meet the proper requirements, head to Hello Work and change Kasuga to the Foreman job. As soon as you’ve done this, you’ll be notified that you’ve gained the environmental ability Demolition.

With it, you can break down barriers to access blocked off parts of dungeons, open up hidden shops and otherwise find some of Yakuza Like a Dragon’s more well-hidden secrets.

That’s all there is to it really. As we said earlier, it’s super easy to miss this mechanic, as the game doesn’t tell you about it unless you switch to the Foreman class. Once you do this though, you won’t have to worry about missing out on any other hidden game mechanics.

Hopefully this cleared up how to break metal barriers in Yakuza Like a Dragon. For more on the game, check out some of our other guides. They cover a variety of topics like how to use objects as weapons and how many chapters there are in the game.
