Takedowns are some of the flashier moves available to your heroes in Marvel’s Avengers, allowing you to finish them off in one blow when the time is right. They won’t be worth squat if you don’t know how to execute them though, which is why we’re here with a guide on how to use Takedowns on enemies in Avengers Game.
How to Use Takedowns on Enemies in Avengers Game
To use takedowns on enemies in Marvel’s Avengers, you’ll need to fulfill a few conditions.
First, the enemy’s stun bar will need to have been filled. It can be found below their health bar, and will fill as you hit them with subsequent attacks. The stronger the enemy is, the longer it will take to fill, so be prepared for a slog if you’re aiming to put the slam on a tougher opponent.
Once the bar’s filled though, all you need to do is get in close to your target and press the Triangle and Circle Button simultaneously on PlayStation 4; or, on Xbox One, the Y and B Buttons simultaneously. Doing so will trigger your Hero’s Takedown attack, defeating the targeted enemy regardless of how much health they still have.
When You Should Use Takedown Attacks
With all this in mind, it’s worth noting that there Marvel’s Avengers has times and places that are better for using Takedowns than others.
For example, while it may be tempting to rush in and slam an enemy with one as soon as you’re prompted, doing so can leave you open to attacks from other enemies still on the field after it subsides. This can leave your Hero in dire straights or even knocked out, forcing your allies to rush in and save you at the cost of their own health.
As such, read any given situation to make sure the risks of using a Takedown don’t outweigh the benefits.
