Developed by Guerilla Games and originally released as a PS4 exclusive title back in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn is finally making its way over to PC this month via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players will take control of a young woman named Aloy as she ventures through a post-apocalyptic world, seeking out answers about her past and the history of the world itself. Here’s what the PC download and install size is for Horizon Zero Dawn.
Horizon Zero Dawn PC Download and Install Size
Horizon Zero Dawn was a pretty hefty game, file size-wise, on PS4, and you can certainly expect that to be the case with the PC port as well. At the time of writing, we’ve checked out the game on Steam, and can confirm that the install size is 71,917 MB on PC, or around 72 GB. It should be the same on the Epic Games Store as well.
However, you do need to have at least 100 GB of space set aside on your PC to begin the download and installation process.
The large file size is certainly no surprise, especially considering the fact that Horizon Zero Dawn is a pretty huge open world game with a lot of emphasis on its photorealistic graphical qualities. It’s definitely on par with a lot of triple-A titles out now, such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and the annual Call of Duty series, just to name a few.
If you’re looking to get the game on PC, you can already pre-purchase it on Steam and Epic Games Store, and you should be able to pre-load it few days before the game’s official release on Aug. 7.
That’s all you need to know about the PC download and install size for Horizon Zero Dawn. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
