We’ve been waiting for more word on the second season of Beastar’s release since December, and now we’ve got it straight from the creator, Paru Itagaki, herself. It looks like we can expect to see more beastly drama on Netflix some time in 2021.

If you’re new to Beastars or have been considering jumping into the first season, we highly recommend it. The anime deals with and explores many real-world themes such as prejudices, self-discovery, and societal positions. It follows an academy within a society of civilized anthropomorphic animals constantly plagued by the tension between the carnivores and herbivores. This psychological drama is sure to keep you on your toes and have you consider your own role in the real world. We also can’t stress how well-written the characters are– everything about them feels so real, and they each come with relatable qualities. Did we mention that the OST is also awesome?
