Use This Port Royale 4 Exploration Video for Stress Relief

Kalypso Media posted a 33-minute long video of Port Royale 4 (dubbed the “Exploration Video”) to their YouTube channel that is simply a ship sailing through the Caribbean Sea. The water is crystal clear and the sunsets and sky look absolutely gorgeous. If you need to just unwind today, this is a solid choice.

If your Wednesday (or week/month/year) is hectic this might be what you need. Beyond the terrific visuals, the video doesn’t give much information about Port Royale 4, but it’s so great to look at and just kinda space out. The soundtrack to the video varies, so the music isn’t always soothing, but it does demonstrate a nice range that the game has to offer.

The video, while visually striking does bear the watermark of “beta footage” in the corner. Hard to believe these visuals are subject to change, considering everything the video has to offer.

Port Royale 4 is described under the video as:

Port Royale 4 lets you choose between four colonial nations of the 16th and 17th century. Conquer the Caribbean with historical ships, a far-reaching and complex trading system and ever-growing islands. Take on four extensive single-player campaigns and follow the respective nations on their path to supremacy, with each faction providing different benefits and gameplay styles. For the first time in the Port Royale series fight against rivalling nations and pirates in tactical turn-based naval battles.

There is currently a closed beta running for the game on PC, and you only need to pre-order the game directly from the Kalypso store for access.

Port Royale 4 will be out on September 25 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The Nintendo Switch version will be out
