After you’ve toiled away making your island paradise look perfect, there will come a time in Animal Crossing New Horizons where you just want to sit and take in the fruits of your labor. The problem is, there’s no actual button registered purely for the action of sitting. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to sit in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Sitting on Chairs & Furniture in Animal Crossing New Horizons
If you’ve placed a chair by your beach, or nestled in a cozy corner of your house, sitting in them is incredibly simple. To sit on chairs in Animal Crossing New Horizons, simply walk over to it and continue to walk into it. After a second or so, your character will clamber up onto the chair and sit there happily.
When you want to get off, simply use the left analog stick to move your character away from the chair or furniture that they’re sat on.
Can You Sit on Floors?
Unfortunately, there’s no way to just kick back on the golden sands of your island’s beaches or to chill with a villager under the shade of a tree. You’ll have to carry a chair around with you if you want to just set up camp and have a bit of relaxation time in New Horizons.
If Nintendo does opt to add in the ability to sit or lay down on floors, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know. We wouldn’t be holding our breaths if we were you, though.
And there you have a complete breakdown on how to sit in Animal Crossing New Horizons. If you’re looking for more tips and tricks, be sure to head over to our guide wiki, it’s packed with tips, tricks, and guides on just about everything.
