Parks and Recreation is another workplace comedy series that stars Amy Poehler as a hard-working and dedicated employee in the local parks department in small-town Pawnee, Indiana. The first few seasons has her attempting to build a small park in an abandoned pit with the help of her co-workers and this is where the antics begin.
This all-star cast in Parks and Rec are absolutely hilarious with one another and the mockumentary style of filming will immediately remind you of the awkward and laugh out loud situations that occur in The Office.
Poehler is an absolute gem and while the show is meant to be extremely funny, there are some really emotional moments down the line that feel very deserving for those die-hard fans out there.
You should be able to watch the entirety of Parks and Rec on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn Nine-Nine takes a similar style that was made famous by The Office and throws a camera into a police station. Instead of focusing on action and shootouts, is more comedic than anything, showing the ins and outs of what goes on behind the scenes.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg, who plays a very talented detective in NYC but even though he knows what he’s doing, Andy’s character is very immature, causing mischief and wild antics throughout the sitcom, while also solving crimes.
You can now watch this show on Hulu and NBC, and if you’re a big fan of workplace comedies like The Office, you can’t go wrong with this one.
Portlandia

Former SNL cast members Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein are one of the best comedic duos out there on television and Portlandia is their baby that constantly pokes fun at the wacky and unique people that live in Portland, Oregon.
Each episode focuses on several different storylines with Armisen and Brownstein playing a variety of different characters like owners of a feminist bookstore that only sells female-authored works, a couple that is dedicated to eating only farm-raised chicken, and a bunch of other characters that are downright hilarious.
It’s a very weird show that does not take itself seriously at all and if you like awkwardly funny and random television shows, Portlandia is where it’s at!
30 Rock

If you love Tina Fey’s work such as Mean Girls or Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, then you will absolutely adore 30 Rock as it was written and produced by the famed comedic actress and also, she stars in it.
The show is primarily based on Tina Fey’s experience as being a writer for Saturday Night Love as it focuses on a team that works on a fictional sketch comedy show, ala SNL.
It brings you behind the scenes of Fey’s experiences in a fictional and highly comedic setting and the cast is simply wonderful, with the likes of Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin joining Tina Fey and brining their unique humor to the roles.
If you’re a fan of The Office, you can check 30 Rock out on Hulu. And there are over 100 episodes so you have plenty of wonderful content to look forward to.
Schitt’s Creek

In Schitt’s Creek, a very rich and spoiled family ends up losing everything they’ve ever had which includes their fancy mansion, their cars, and pretty much anything else that made them happy. But it turns out that there is a small town that the family owns that they are welcome to stay at while they get their financials in order and this place called Schitt’s Creek.
The four family members have to adapt to this new change in their lives, with them living in a small hotel room and having to deal with terrible jobs and not having much money.
It’s a super fun show that also teaches people that it’s not all about the money or what you have but instead what you make of it. As the show goes on, you can see the family getting more in touch with themselves and even becoming closer because of the unfortunate circumstances.
If you’re looking for a situational comedic sitcom like The Office, Schitt’s Creek is the way to go and it can be watched on Netflix and Hulu.
