How to Change Difficulty in Devil May Cry 5
Capcom’s long-awaited sequel to Devil May Cry 4 is finally here and even Dante makes a return to the hack and slash franchise. Devil May Cry 5 is known to be quite the hardcore action game, but if you’re having issues or feel the game is too easy, here’s how to change the difficulty in Devil May Cry 5.
Changing difficulties in DMC 5 works in a different way compared to other AAA titles that have recently come out. Instead of playing the entire game on one difficulty and then increasing or decreasing depending on player choice, each difficulty has its own separate set of missions.
Devil May Cry 5 has a whopping six different difficulty modes to choose from that get harder and harder as you go along, which are as follows: Human, Devil Hunter, Son of Sparda, Dante Must Die, Heaven and Hell, and Hell and Hell (that’s a lot of hells).
When you start the game, you only have access to the first two difficulties, but you can unlock Son of Sparda by beating the game at least once.
You can change the difficulty on the mission select menu before you jump into a mission. Each mission is separated by difficulties though, so for example, if you want to get to mission 2 in Son of Sparda mode you need to play through mission 1 on Son of Sparda, and so on.
The game will stay on the difficulty you choose until you pick a new one, or just until you complete the game of course.
That’s all you need to know about how to change the difficulty Devil May Cry 5.
