Can You Get a KD Tracker in Apex Legends & How to Calculate Your Kill/ Death Ratio
Your Kill/Death ratio (KD), is an important stat in any shooter. With Apex Legends now out in the wild, some players may be wondering how they’ve been doing. Here’s what you need to know on can you get a KD tracker and how to calculate your Kill/ Death ratio in Apex Legends.
Can You Get a KD Tracker?
First off, it’s important to note that Apex Legends does have a variety of trackers you can use in-game to monitor your performances. The problem is, they have a number of caveats, and sadly, none of them is a specific KD tracker.
Every Legend has their own trackers, and so you can often only find out Legend-specific stats without adding together these values manually. Even without unlocking them, the trackers will still record your progress with a Legend, but to display them on your little career card, you’ll need to unlock them.
Below, you’ll find an entire list of all of the different trackers you can get for each Legend in Apex Legends:
- Winning Kills
- Kills as Kill Leader
- Damage Done
- Games Played
- Wins with Full Squad
- Times Placed Top 3
- Pistol Kills
- Shotgun Kills
- SMG Kills
- AR Kills
- LMG Kills
- Sniper Kills
- Care Package Weapon Kills
- Legend Ability Trackers x3
As you can see, there’s currently no KD tracker that players can use in Apex Legends to monitor their overall performance. Sadly, even when clicking on your online name from the ‘Play’ screen, this only brings up the number of kills you’ve racked up with that individual Legend.
While this may come as disappointing news, there’s always the chance that Respawn Entertainment could decide to add in a KD tracker at some point in the future as part of a patch or an update. For now, though, you’ll just have to stick with the trackers available in Apex Legends above.
That’s not all bad, though, as, with the
How to Calculate Your Kill/Death Ratio in Apex Legends
There is a way you can calculate your Kill/ Death ratio (KD) in Apex Legends with the trackers that are available. Although, it will require you to use a calculator.
To calculate your Kill/ Death ratio in Apex Legends, you’ll want to divide the number of kills for a particular Legend (or all of them if you want your overall KD) into the number of games played. This is because you’re only going to die once per game unless you’re revived by a teammate.
It’s worth noting, though, that if you do get revived quite a bit by teammates in Apex Legends, this may not give you a 100% accurate figure. It will give you a rough idea, though, and that’s the best we can offer right now.
Let’s give you an example, we’ve played three games with Wraith, and got one kill with her. So, in this instance, we’d divide 1 by 3, and end up with a KD ratio of 0.33. That’s really not good, we’re aware.
That’s all you need to know about whether or not there’s a KD tracker in Apex Legends, and how to calculate your Kill/ Death ratio in the game. Answer: Unfortunately, there is not a KD tracker within the game you can use. However, by diving your number of kills into the number of games played, you can give yourself a rough idea of your Kill/Death ratio. Just note that this won’t take into account any times you’ve been revived by teammates.
