How to Solve the Floor Puzzle in Onimusha Warlords

While Onimusha: Warlords Remastered is host to a number of riddles and puzzles, the floor puzzle found early on is one of its most fiendish. That’s why we’re here to help with a guide on how to solve the floor puzzle in Onimusha Warlords.

Near the beginning of Onimusha: Warlords Remastered, you’ll find yourself tasked with overcoming a series of puzzles. Each is harder than the last, and due to the game’s save system you’ll have to redo them all if you fail even one.

In particular, the floor puzzle will be the most aggravating. presenting a series of floor panels marked with X’s and +’s, each panel causes the panels around it to collapse; diagonally out for the X-marked panels and in an outward cross for the +-marked ones.

Unless you notice the trick right away, trial and error is about the only way you can overcome it. This, of course, will lead to some deaths along the way, which can get aggravating fast.

Instead, use the following method to overcome it without fail: First, have Samanosuke stand on the +-marked panel to the top far right. After the spikes trigger around him and cause some panels to fall, move Kaede to the +-marked panel on the top far left.

Once Samanosuke is free, move him to the nearest +-marked panel on his left in the second row. Then, move Kaede to the +-marked panel straight ahead of her.

Next, move Samanosuke to the +-marked panel to his right in the third row. Then, move Kaede to the X-marked panel to the right in the second row. Finally, move Samanosuke to the O-marked panel at the top of the room to complete the puzzle.

It’s worth noting that there are other potential solutions, but this is the easiest to pull off and not screw up.

Hopefully, this helps you clear up how to solve the floor puzzle Onimusha Warlords.
