The game will release in for PS4 in Europe on Jan. 18 and for PC on Jan. 22, 2019. It’s worth mentioning that these dates are confirmed only for Europe at the moment, as the North American arm Xseed Games is still silent. That being said, we don’t expect them to stray too far.

Update: Xseed Games made its own announcement and Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal will launch in North America both on PS4 and PC on Jan 22.

The game comes with twelve playable ninja waifus out of the box, and additional DLC episodes featuring Yumi and Miyabi will launch shortly afterward.

Interestingly, a selection of downloadable content for Senran Kagura Estival Versus will appear in the dressing room on PS4 if you have purchased it, even if Marvelous is keen on cautioning that this doesn’t happen to all DLC, but just to some.

Digital pre-orders are now available on the European PlayStation Store with the Beautiful Something Yukata and a PS4 theme as a bonus. The outfit will be generally available for purchase four weeks after release, while you’ll have to wait five weeks for the theme.

The Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal Shinobi Rivals Edition will also include the following

  • Burst Girls Uniform
  • Old Hanzo Uniform
  • “Lovey Dovey” Diorama Pose
  • Playable Character Yumi & Prologue Chapter

The Yumi Character & Prologue Pack will be purchasable as a separate DLC the week following the game’s release.

Two DLC costumes “Cutie ♡ Melon” and “Cutie ♡ Peach” will also be provided for free to everyone who purchases the game in the first four week after launch, after which they will require a separate purchase.

It’s worth mentioning that the PS4 version of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal will not include the Intimacy Mode, which will instead be present on PC. Apparently, it didn’t sit well with Sony Interactive Entertainment.
