Overwatch League’s Season 2 Schedule Is Out, And It’s Going to Be Packed

Overwatch League will be returning with its second season at the start of 2019, on Feb. 14. Blizzard has also already released the match schedule for Stage 1, and the very first match will be between the London Spitfire and Philadelphia Fusion. Both teams faced off against each other during the Season 1 grand finals, and the Spitfire took the win.

One interesting thing to note about the second season is that there will be more matches in one night than before. The inaugural season had three matches in a night, but with Season 2, there will be four matches per night, starting from 4 p.m Pacific Time.

In addition to that, Season 2 will also see the inclusion of a few new teams: Washington Justice, Hangzhou Spark, Chengdu Hunters, Guangzhou Charge, Atlanta Reign, Paris Eternal, Toronto Defiant, and Vancouver Titans.

Previously, Overwatch League commissioner Nate Nanzer also stated that Season 2 will start to feature matches in home cities. In 2019, only three teams will have matches in their home cities —the Dallas Fuel, Los Angeles Valiant, and Atlanta Reign. As stated before, future seasons will aim to have matches in more home cities, meaning more travel for all the teams across the board.

The Overwatch League’s second season will kick off on Feb. 14, 2019, and we’ll be here to cover it.
