Fallout 76: How to Get Into Site Alpha

How to Get Into Site Alpha in Fallout 76

One of the coolest features of Fallout 76 is the ability to launch your own nuclear bomb. Not only does it look badass but it also transforms the blast zone into challenging areas with new enemies and better loot drops. First, though, you’ll have to gain access to a launch site. Here’s how to get into Site Alpha in Fallout 76.

Site Alpha is located right in the middle of the Savage Divide area of the Fallout 76 map, off to the southeast from the Top of the World and north of the National Isolated Radio Array. It’s a small shack at the edge of a pond. You shouldn’t run into any opposition trying to access the Site.

Actually getting into each Silo Site and gaining access to the elevator that descends to its depths is a lengthy process, however, and Site Alpha is no different. In brief, the elevator is only operable by high-ranking military officials.

Gaining access to the elevator, therefore, requires that you gain the correct military credentials. You’ll need to join the organization known as the Enclave.

This questline starts with a trip to a secret bunker in The Mire housed in the Abandoned Waste Dump, which happens to be guarded by two Deathclaws, no less. Once you’re inside, you’ll need to solve the puzzles within and you’ll get access to the Enclave’s HQ. There are then further tests and challenges to test your resolve and confirm you’re worthy.

As an official member of the faction, you’re then tasked with rising up through the military ranks via the faction’s commendation system. You’ll be given basic training Camp McClintock and then be given the opportunity to increase your standing by performing tasks for the Enclave until you become a General.

This is the ranking required to gain access to all Silo Sites, including Site Alpha.

Assuming that you’re visiting Site Alpha to launch a nuke, you’ll first need eight nuclear code, which is obtained by gathering code fragments that are randomly dropped by Scorched Officers or Feral Ghoul Officers. Unfortunately, the codes only last for one week, so you’ll need to quickly action your plan to launch a nuke once you’ve located all the necessary fragments.

As it happens, we’re up to speed with this week’s code, which is 89483217.

That’s all the information you should need about how to get into Site Alpha in Fallout 76. For more useful guides for the game, check out our Fallout 76 wiki page.
