As with most games, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey comes with some DLC if you preordered the game. Depending on which edition you’ve opted to go for, you’ll get some special extras along with an added mission. Problem is, it’s not exactly clear how to redeem preorder DLC in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Here’s everything you need to know to get your hands on those valuable preorder items in the game.
How to Redeem Preorder and Bonus DLC Code for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
There are several ways you can redeem your preorder DLC in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. If you have a code, simply head on over to your platform’s dedicated online shop and claim it there. Once that’s done, you should have the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey preorder DLC loaded on your system.
Another way you can choose to download your preorder DLC is through the game itself. To do this, simply launch the game and press the Options button to bring up the game menu. From there, press right on the d-pad and head on over to the rightmost tab that says Owned. You’ll pull up a list of all of the DLC you own, which you can then proceed to download from there.
Either way works and there’s no going wrong with downloading from the online store or from the game itself.

To find it, simply press the touchpad on PS4 or Menu button on Xbox One, tab over to the Inventory menu, and select on a gear slot. All pieces of gear you can equip will be listed here, including your preorder DLC gear.
Now for the bad news. Unfortunately, you will have to reach certain levels before you can equip these items. It’s only level 5, though, so it won’t take you a ton of time to reach this. Once you’ve reached this level, you’ll have complete, free access to your preorder bonus DLC items.
