How to Level Up in Valkyria Chronicles 4
Valkyria Chronicles 4 is the latest entry in Sega’s esteemed tactical RPG series. The new story follows a completely new squad and cast of characters, but it’s set during the same time period as the events of the first game. This means that we’ll get to experience the Second European War from another perspective, and it should prove to be rather interesting. Because this is an RPG, your characters will eventually level up and get stronger as you progress. Here’s what you need to know about leveling them up.
Like in previous games in the series, the leveling process in Valkyria Chronicles 4 can be done by leveling up your classes. To do this, you’ll want to go back to Headquarters, then choose the Training Grounds option from the menu. From here, you can use all of the experience points or XP you’ve accumulated from past battles, and pour them into the classes you want to level up. If you have enough XP to reach the next threshold, the class will level up, and so will all characters who are part of that specific class. Leveling up a class will allow them to get stronger through better and improved stats, along with new Potentials and Orders that they can unlock in the process.
Because of how the leveling process works in Valkyria Chronicles 4, you’ll also need to be careful not to power up a class too much, and end up neglecting the rest. Try to make sure your most used classes are leveled up appropriately, so you won’t have to deal with characters getting too beat up in the later and more difficult stages.
