Can You Get Sylveon in Pokemon GO? What You Need to Know
The Eeveelutions (Pokemon that Eevee evolves into) are some of the most popular and famous in the franchise’s history. Whether it be the three that were part of the original generation, or the ones that were introduced later one, every Pokemon fan has their favorite. Therefore, any Pokemon trainer will want to add them all to their Pokemon GO Pokedex. With Sylveon being one of the more popular Eeveelutions, you may be wondering if you can get it in Pokemon GO. Well, here’s everything that you need to know.
Unfortunately, as of the time of writing, Sylveon cannot be caught or evolved to in Pokemon GO. So far, only the first three generations have been added to the mobile game, so we’re still waiting on Sylveon, which is from generation six, as well as Leafeon and Glaceon, which are from generation four. Generation four is likely to arrive in the game soon, so you shouldn’t have look to wait until you can add the grass and ice type Eeveelutions to your collection. You’ll probably be waiting quite a while before we see Sylveon, however, since the generations are being added to the game in the order they were released in the core games. We will be sure to update you as soon as we have some news on when Sylveon will come to the game, however.
Since August 2018’s Pokemon GO Community Day revolved around Eevee and its evolutions, it quite disappointing that the other options weren’t added to the game in time so that we could get the shiny variants, but we’ll be able to once the base versions finally arrive.
