PSA: Overwatch Double XP Weekend Is Now Live

Overwatch’s second Anniversary Event has been going on for a while, but just recently Blizzard announced the introduction of a bonus XP event, which is available starting today. The Double XP event will net every player who logs in this weekend on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC double XP for participating in various game modes and other options.

You can get double XP with nearly every source of in-game XP, such as the following. The only exception that won’t be doubled is the 1500 XP you get from the First Win of the Day.

  • Time spent in a match
  • Completing a match
  • Completing consecutive matches
  • Winning a match
  • Backfilling a match in progress
  • Earning medals

The bonuses will also stack with group and IGR bonuses, so this is an event you definitely won’t want to miss out on. It’s going on all the way through June 11 at 11:50 PM PT, so you’ve got a little bit of time left to get in and get those precious points while you can. Then, while you’re at it, explore the Anniversary Event while you can, since it’ll be going away soon as well.

This is a great time to jump into Overwatch and snap up loot boxes, skins, and that sweet, sweet XP, so make sure you don’t miss out with all the E3 2018 excitement and buzz going on this weekend.
