Epic Games Is Still Trying to Fix Fortnite’s New LTM Modes

Fortnite’s Limited Time Modes can’t catch a break, apparently, as 50v50 is still not ready to launch. Epic Games just announced that the new mode, which was meant to replace the Final Fight LTM, just wasn’t ready to leave the oven yet. Final Fight was originally announced as one of two LTM modes with the launch of update v4.5, and fans just haven’t taken well to it.

Epic Games took to Reddit to discuss the mode, stating the following: “We’ve heard your feedback regarding the Final Fight LTM and we agree that the mode isn’t quite in a state where we want it to be. Due to this, we’ll be disabling Final Fight and re-enabling the 50v50 LTM.” However, the mode still hasn’t been replaced, and fans are wondering what exactly the holdup is. When Epic Games tweeted that it would be “holding” on enabling 50v50, things got even more frustrating, and folks are wondering what’s going on with the Playground LTM in general.

“We’re continuing to test our matchmaking service improvements and are still aiming to release the Playground LTM as soon as possible,” Epic tweeted. We’re waiting for the next status update to drop, and as of the time of this writing, it still has not. We’ll keep you updated on what’s going on with the new modes and the wait time, and hopefully we’ll see the new mode back live again soon today…or at some point.
