How Long State of Decay 2 Is & How Many Plague Hearts There Are
All of your scavenging efforts in State of Decay 2 are to help your efforts in destroying the Plague Hearts scattered across the land. There’s a ton to take into account while you’re playing, from upgrading facilities, keeping on top of dwindling resources, clearing out zombie infestations, claiming outposts, and managing enclaves. As such, there’s a good chance you’re probably wondering exactly how long State of Decay 2 takes to complete, and how many Plague Hearts you’ll need to clear in the process.
Our playthrough of State of Decay took around 30 hours. This was with us generally having a bit of an explore around, going on lengthy sessions to bolster our base, and taking time to help other Enclaves gather supplies. It’s definitely possible to blast through State of Decay 2 faster than this, but you’d be missing out on half of the fun in the process.
State of Decay 2 has 10 Plague Hearts that you’ll need to destroy which are randomly dotted around the map inside a searchable location. With each one you destroy, the remaining ones become that little bit tougher and are more heavily guarded by the undead.
Once you’ve cleared all 10 Plague Hearts in State of Decay 2, you’ll then be able to establish your community’s lasting legacy in the area. With a Sheriff as my leader, it took about 30 minutes to an hour to clear the quests to achieve this.
That’s all you need to know about how long State of Decay 2 is and how many Plague Hearts you’ll have to destroy on the way. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
