The Sims 4 is a great game to just let your creativity run wild with. Build obscure and eccentric houses, decorate them as you see fit, and build relationships with all manner of different people in your surrounding neighborhood. Your Sims are to do with as you see fit essentially, but wouldn’t it be fun if you could invite your friends and their sims into your game so you could share in the fun together? Well, turns out that you can play multiplayer in The Sims 4, but you will need to download a mod to do so. Let’s talk you through that exact process.

Warning: This multiplayer mod is still in a beta phase, despite being released to the public. Bugs and errors can occur while using it, including game-breaking bugs, so be sure you’re happy to risk losing progress before running the mod.

First off, you’re going to head here and download The Sims 4 Multiplayer Mod. Once you’ve done that, simply extract the files and paste the files into the following file path: This PC > Documents> Electronic Arts> The Sims 4> Mods. The folder you’re dropping in here should read something along the lines of ‘ts4multiplayer-master’.

Once this is done, you’ll need to load up The Sims 4 and ensure that both Mods, CC, and Script Mods are enabled within the Options menu. With all this set up, you should then be able to run the multiplayer mod and go through the set-up process to get your friend in your game.

That’s all you need to know to play multiplayer in The Sims 4. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
