Raft: How to Play Co-Op Multiplayer

How to Play Co-Op Multiplayer in Raft

Recommended Videos

Being stranded out in the middle of the ocean can play havoc on your mental state. You may begin talking to yourself, and even worse – you could actually get a reply. The best way to maintain your sanity, then, is to drag a friend out onto your raft with you. Companionship! Camaraderie! A distraction to feed to the shark while you swim to safety! Things are looking up already. Here’s what you’ll need to know to play co-op multiplayer in the game and drag someone along with you.

In order to play co-op multiplayer in Raft, you’ll first have to register your potential buddy as a Steam friend. You will only be able to join in worlds hosted by people registered in your Steam friend list – no random encounters out in the briny deep.

Once one of you has either loaded or started a new world, that person will be considered the host. The other player need only select ‘join world’ on the main menu, and the host’s game will appear in the list. Select that world, and after a quick loading session, you will be thrust out to join your pal.
