Raft: How to Build

If you’ve ever wanted to try and survive on the open seas floating on nothing but a piece of wood, Raft is the game for you. Placed on the treacherous shark-infested ocean, players must gather and craft supplies to make the best of their bad situation. Developed by Redbeet Interactive, Raft sets players against the dangers of open water, and what might lie below the surface. A key part to that survival, is expanding by building walls, floors, and even multiple levels to your raft, but how exactly do you do that? Well, have no fear, because we have the answer to that.

Building in Raft can be a little confusing at first, but step one is the acquire a building hammer. This icon is on the left-hand side of the screen on your toolbar. In order to craft the building hammer players will need five planks of wood, and two coal, which can be found be exploring the ocean and looting debris.

After obtaining the Building Hammer players can then use it to build all the necessary structures for expansion. Players will need rope in order to build extra structures to their craft, which can simply be crafted on the same toolbar used for the hammer. After players have enough material to craft structures, they simply equip the hammer and point and click on the spot they want to build to expand upon.
