Pokemon Quest: How to Unlock the Island Map

How to Unlock the Island Map in Pokemon Quest

Recommended Videos

The entirety of Pokemon Quest is set up on a vast island teeming with all sorts of pocket monsters. As the player, it’s your job to lead your own team of Pokemon and explore the island through expeditions. To actually access expeditions, you’ll need to bring up the island map first. Some new players might be wondering how they can actually unlock the island map in Pokemon Quest.

You’ll actually come across it early on the game, during the tutorial. After playing around with your starter ‘mon, you’ll come to a point where you’ll be stationed in your home base. From there, the game will teach you how to cook and attract new Pokemon to your team. Once that’s done, you need to press the expedition button on the bottom right of the screen. It’s a big yellow button, so you shouldn’t miss it. Pressing that will lead you to the overworld, AKA the island map. You can set off on your own expedition by pressing which area you want to explore. As you progress, you’ll unlock more locations and fight different ‘mons.
