How to Level Up Fast in Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch lets you take control of tons of iconic characters from across The Legend of Zelda series, duking it out in traditional Dynasty Warriors-style battles. Taking on the game’s Adventure Mode can be a bit of a challenge if your characters aren’t of a high enough level, as you tackle harder and harder grids on the map. Because of this, you’ll want to know how to efficiently level up your characters, and we’ll help give you a few tips on just how to do that.

First off, the best way is to always use a weapon that has the EXP+ skill on it. This will help boost the experience you get from each and every battle. If you get a stronger weapon that doesn’t have the skill, you can head to the Smithy to add it on or open up a new slot to add it on too if you need to. Secondly, it’s helpful to have the skill Rupee+ on your weapons. This allows you to earn more rupees from each battle, which you can use at the Training Dojo to bump up your character’s levels. This is especially useful for lower level characters, as they’ll cost less to catch up to your higher level ones.

Once you’ve killed enough Gold Skultalas in Hyrule Warriors and leveled up your Apothecary ability, you’ll be able to create an EXP Accelerator potion for 10 silver materials and 10,000 rupees. You can use these potions in Adventure Mode to really boost up the experience you receive. Once you’ve played all the way through Legend Mode, you’ll unlock a new “Hero” difficulty. Playing through on harder difficulties and beating harder enemies will reward you with more experience, especially if you’ve used a boosting potion beforehand.

Combine all of these elements and use them in either Adventure or Legend mode and you should be able to catch some of your lesser used characters up to speed.
