How to Level Up Fast for Spire of Stars in Destiny 2: Warmind
Destiny 2’s Warmind expansion adds perhaps the hardest soft cap that we’ve seen to-date. The new raid lair, Spire of Stars, has been set at an abnormally high 380 recommended power level, a full 40 power level higher than the soft cap. Meaning, for the first few weeks, you might not able to run the raid at the recommended level unless you were coming into Warmind fully maxed out from running Curse of Osiris events. There’s no magical way to suddenly get to 380 in Destiny 2: Warmind, but this is your best and quickest path to get there.
Try to get up to the soft cap BEFORE doing your weekly milestones: This is likely the biggest mistake that returning players will make when they first start up Destiny 2: Warmind. they will go straight for low-hanging milestones like the Crucible matches. Avoid them for as long as you can. Try to get as close to 340 as you can before touching any of them. This will save you a lot of time and get you leveled up for Spire of Stars at a much quicker pace.
Join a Clan: If you’re not already in a clan, join one. It’s too rewarding to miss out on. The clan rewards are designed to bring you up to the soft cap as quickly as possible, and also give you small boosts towards breaking that same cap. All you need to do is play the game, and run some events with your buddies and you’ll be showered with free gear.
Complete all of your weekly milestones: It may seem obvious, but of course, we need to mention that the quickest and most direct way to level up fast for Spire of Stars is to complete all of your weekly milestones – each and every one. The powerful engrams that drop from these milestones will give you huge boosts to your power level and are actually required to burst through the soft cap. It may take a couple of weeks, but regularly knocking these out as they are available will eventually get you to being raid ready for Spire of Stars.
Run the old raids: After you’ve done everything else, make sure to stop by the old raids for some additional gear. In addition to being one of your weekly milestones, the first time you run through each of the old raids, you’ll have a chance at some equipment upgrades and exotic engrams. Although not as powerful as a powerful engram, the drops here can give you a small boost towards getting to 380 and leveling up faster for Spire of Stars.
