Destiny 2 Warmind: How to Get & Open Sleeper Nodes

How to Get and Open Sleeper Nodes in Destiny 2 Warmind

Recommended Videos

After completing the story campaign in Destiny 2’s new expansion, Warmind, you’ll have a slew of other things to do on Mars. One of the quests you’ll unlock is called Nascent Dawn, and part of the quest requires you to find and open a Sleeper Node. Sleeper Nodes are black pyramid-shaped boxes that can be found on Mars, though tracking them down can be a little tricky.

First off, you’ll need to collect four Resonate Stems by doing three patrols and looting a Lost Sector. After that, you can use the Stems to create an Override Frequency in Destiny 2: Warmind. From your inventory, look at the Frequency description itself, and it’ll give you a clue as to where your Sleeper Node is located. Do note that the locations of Sleeper Nodes are random from player to player, but the hint should be enough to guide you in the right direction. For instance, my Override Frequency gave me the following code: CB.NAV/RUN.()Dynamo.Approach.Arch. This tells me that the Sleeper Node is located somewhere in the Dynamo Approach area on Mars. The final word “Arch” gives me a clue as to what kind of landmark I should be looking for in the Dynamo Approach. In this case, I’m looking for some sort of archway or architecture that would resemble an arch.

Once you’re in the right area, you’ll want to listen out for a musical track. As the music gets louder, you’ll know you’re heading in the right direction towards the Sleeper Nodes you’re tracking down in Destiny 2: Warmind. And if it starts to fade, you need to turn around and look a little closer. If you hear the music, that’s a sign that you’re very close to the Sleeper Node. Simply walk up to it and interact with it to get your loot.

There are tons of Sleeper Nodes in Destiny 2: Warmind, and you’ll need to collect more Resonate Stems to create a new Override Frequency, and then repeat the process again.

That’s all you need to know to get and open Sleeper Nodes in Destiny 2’s new Warmind expansion. Be sure to check our wiki for more information on Destiny 2.
