Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Zombies Shambles Into Terrifying New Territory

Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Zombies is traveling into new territory with a fresh start and a new journey. The new Zombies story is completely separated from the classic storyline that started in Call of Duty: World at War. The new story will be following a new cast of characters as they do what they can to defeat an ancient order and their nefarious deeds.

The map that will be released with the game is called IX. The reveal trailed follows these characters as they go back in time, to witness a bizarre ritual that summons forth the powers which create zombies in a gladiatorial arena, where they must fight for their lives against a newly spawned horde.

Outside of the release trailer, Jason Bundell also announced things such as Zombie Mutations, which can totally change gameplay, such as Zombie Speed and Magic Box. They are also releasing Stamp System, to ensure fair custom competitions by providing a code that showcases the modifiers active in your game, which fits with the return of Difficulty Modes. Bundell also discussed special challenges called Callings, AI Bot Support for co-op games, and basic tutorials to teach new players. A mode known as Zombie Rush was announced, though more details were not given.

The Day One Zombies Release showcases three maps, IX, Voyage of Despair, and a re-release of the fan favorite map: Mob of The Dead, titled Blood of the Dead, following the Origins cast of characters into Alcatraz. The trailers for release are down below.
