Reminder: PUBG’s Savage Map Beta Begins Today

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or PUBG as we so lovingly call it, is getting its second Codename: Savage map playtest tonight, so if you managed to nab a beta key for the game already, you’ll want to go ahead and get prepared for Round 2 tonight. There’s still some time left to grab a sign-up key, thankfully, so make sure you go pick one up if at all possible, before you hit the PUBG Closed Experimental Server.

The testing will only be going on for 48 hours, beginning today at 6 PM PDT/9 PM EDT. You’ve got until Wednesday, April 18 at 6 PM PDT/9 PM PDT to get your Savage on, so make sure you explore to the fullest while you’re still able to. Since the previous round of testing, several different features have been patched, including the red zone’s size and how long it lasts. There are also three new areas to peruse, including Abandoned Quarry, a dock, and Banyan Grove.

There’s also dynamic weather meant to change throughout all corners of the map, and small alterations to blood effects, all of which you can read about here via the changeless. If you’re ready to see Codename: Savage before it drops in full in a few months, get ready to jump in and get your beta testing feet wet soon. You’ve only got a little more time left to wait.
