Fortnite Mobile Adds Message From Teacher Who Asks Kids to Stop Playing in Class

Fortnite’s mobile iteration is proving ridiculously popular, as expected, and as such it’s keeping some schoolkids from doing their due diligence and paying attention in class because they can’t keep their hands off the game while they’re supposed to be studying. One teacher took to the Fortnite Reddit and asked that Epic Games add a fun note to the loading screen to “mess with” his students, who won’t get off the game in class.

Mr. Hillman wrote: “First, I love your game,” Mr. Hillman writes. “My friends from college and I play pretty much every night. One problem, since mobile came out my students won’t stop playing in class. Idk if it’s possible, but I told them I’d write you and they didn’t believe me. Could you add this to the loading screen for a couple days to mess with them? ‘Mr. Hillman says stop playing in class.’”

Community manager K.L. Smith decided to deliver, sharing a new Fortnite loading screen that says exactly that, which should shock Mr. Hillman’s class and possibly get them to log off when they should be learning. Probably won’t, but it’s a fun nod that the company didn’t have to act upon that’s good for a laugh at the very least.
