Destiny 2 Is Getting a New Weapons Slot System, More Details Soon

Destiny 2 was in a rough place for a while, but Bungie is actively making changes and improvements to the game to bring it out of its slump. In a recent Q&A session over on the official Bungie site, the developers addressed several fan questions such as the Time to Kill duration an Vigilance Wing’s performance in the Crucible.

More importantly, however, Bungie also mentioned that the team was working on a new weapons system. While the categories in the original game were Primary, Secondary, and Heavy, Destiny 2 did a complete overhaul with the following categories: Kinetic, Energy, and Power. While the new system has a few advantages, it was also frustrating for some players who wanted to have more freedom over the weapon types that they could equip at any given time.

‘We know that you want more control over your loadouts. You can expect weapon slot changes in the future of Destiny 2. We are actively working on a new system right now and we will have more to show and tell this summer.’

This is pretty big news, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as more info comes our way. Destiny 2 is now available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
