We’ve known about this game for quite a few years now, and even got to preview it back in 2015 while it was still in development. This weekend, the publisher released a new trailer for the game, announcing that it would be coming to PS4, PC, and Switch on Jan. 17, 2019. You can check out the new trailer down below.

As the title suggests, YIIK is an RPG that draws inspiration from many traditional JRPGs. It features a turn-based combat system that genre fans should be familiar with, and its setting is also rather reminiscent of Earthbound and the Mother series.

The game takes place in a modern setting, and also has a quirky and cartoonish graphical style to accompany the game’s witty tone.

When YIIK was first announced, it was also set to release for the PS Vita. The Vita version is still in the works, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be releasing at the same time as the other platforms. Those hoping to play the game on the go will have to look to the Nintendo Switch instead.

YIIK: A Postmodern RPG is set to be released for PS4, Switch, and PC on Jan. 17, 2019.
