Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer action-adventure game where players take on the role of a pirate and sail the high seas. Within the game, there are various factions you can align with, each with their own different tasks and activities. These groups provide players with different types of voyages, which can score you Commendations and Achievements. Here are all the factions in the game:
- Gold Hoarders – True to their name, these guys will send you on voyages that usually involve digging up treasure on islands. If you give them your haul, they’ll reward you handsomely with, well, gold. This group is perfect for those who like to explore the game’s vast world and islands within it.
- Merchant Alliance – In this faction, you’ll be tasked with finding items and delivering it to certain outposts within a set time period.
- Order of the Souls – If you love fighting enemies, then the Order of the Souls faction is definitely for you. You’ll be sent on eradication voyages where you have to kill waves of undead enemies. Once you kill the boss, you’ll have to take the skull back to the NPC.
