Secret of Mana, one of the Super Nintendo’s greatest hits, has returned to modern consoles like PlayStation 4 and PS Vita as well as Steam with full 3D visuals and an overhaul that essentially makes it look like a completely different game. It’s out today, so if you’re ready to get your nostalgia on, you can feel free to do that without having to succumb to the terrible wait any longer.
Featuring revamped visuals, new narrative scenes with additional information about the world overflowing with Mana, as well as modernized gaming features, the new version of the game has a launch trailer that should help you get up to speed. This time around it’s the same game you probably remember loving from your childhood, but with improved AI, auto-saves, and various other features that bring it into the modern age.
You can check out the trailer below before you set off to join Randi, Primm, and Popoi on their grand adventure in the remake. There’s a lot to unpack, especially if you haven’t ever played the original game before. In case you haven’t heard, there’s also voice acting. That seems a little jarring at first, especially in a game where there previously wasn’t any, but it might tend to grow on you over time.
