How to Get the Dance Party Key in Destiny 2 and What it Does
With the latest update to Destiny 2, players are finally able to rejoin the factions that they swore allegiance to back in the first game (Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and New Monarchy). Aside from that, however, there are also some new secrets to enjoy in the Tower (which unlocks after beating the main campaign) that can even lead to loot. One such secret is the Dance Party, and it requires an item called the Dance Party Key.
The Dance Party is actually tied to another secret event in the Tower called Loot-a-Palooza, which has Cayde-6 hide 10 chests in one of the Tower’s three sections. You get the key for that as a random drop at the end of the Leviathan raid. If you successfully complete it, a new event will begin that gives you a short amount of time to find a chest in the same area. That chest is the Dance Party chest and usually spawns near the faction rep in the area you were just in.
Find the chest quickly and you’ll be rewarded with some more Glimmer as well as music and a light show. Enjoy the party (everyone in the Tower is invited). Only one person needs to trigger this for those currently in the Tower to enjoy it. It’s celebration time in Destiny 2. Have fun, guardians.
