Final Fantasy XIV: ‘Unsolved Mystery’ Quest Guide

How to Start and Completed the ‘Unsolved Mystery’ Quest in Final Fantasy XIV

Recommended Videos

‘Unsolved Mystery’ is a quest introduced in Final Fantasy XIV’s 2.0 patch. By completing this quest, you’ll be able to unlock the ‘What Poor People Think’ quest and advance further in the MSQ. To start it, you’ll first need to have completed the ‘A Wild Rose by Any Other Name’ quest. Once this is done, make your way to Isembard at Camp Drybone in Eastern Thanalan.

Talk to Isembard and he’ll inform you that the Amalj’aa have killed a few commonfolk and will ask you to go and collect the Ripe Corpses. From Camp Drybone, you’ll need to head south and simply head to the marked location on your map at X14-Y26.

When you arrive here, you’ll have to take on a few Amalj’aa. Don’t worry too much, though, as these are at a pretty low level and are easy to take care of. Once your pesky foes are out of the way, pick up the Ripe Corpses and make your way back to Isembard. That’s all there is to the ‘Unsolved Mystery’ question in Final Fantasy XIV.

You’ll be rewarded 7,280 XP and 235 Gil for completing this quest, and you’ll now be free to advance further in Final Fantasy XIV’s main quest.
