How to Get to the First Village – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

The first village or settlement you’ll visit in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is Kakariko Village. After completing the first four Shrines in the game and talking to the Old Man, he’ll direct you to the main Hyrule region, where the game truly begins. He’ll tell you that your first order of business is to head over to Kakariko Village.

The village itself will be marked on your map, though you’ll still have to climb and activate the tower in that area in order to unlock more details and information for the Sheikah Slate map. Just follow the waypoint marked on your mini map, and you’ll come across a tower, a stable, and eventually a big bridge that you have to cross in order to reach the village.

Kakariko Village is full of interesting NPCs to talk to, so be sure to spend some time getting to know the villagers and find out more about the Sheikah clan that used to reside here. You can head towards your next waypoint when you want to proceed with the story.

Now that you know how to get to the first village, be sure to check back with Twinfinite and our ever-expanding wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on Breath of the Wild.
