Unown – Pokemon GO
For those who never played Pokemon Gold and Silver, Unown is a mysterious Psychic-type monster that comes in 28 forms representing the alphabet, as well as the question and exclamation marks. While they weren’t incredibly rare when Gen 2 was first introduced to the franchise, getting every single form did take a lot of time. Now that Pokemon GO has received a Gen 2 update, bringing in over 80 Pokemon from the Johto region, its rarity shows as it’s one of the toughest Pokemon in the game to find.
Since Unown is a Psychic-type, there’s no specific area where it may be hiding. It can appear anywhere. A park, the store, your job, while you’re in your bedroom, there’s no limits to where it can pop up. The major issue is that it happens to be very rare, quite possibly the rarest creature in Pokemon GO at the moment. So far very few people have managed to see one, let alone catch one, and there’s an entire Reddit thread dedicated to this oddly shaped creature. It’s not even entirely known yet if all of its forms have made their way into Pokemon GO. But they are being caught, just not very often.
Hopefully you’ll be one of the few people in the world lucky enough to encounter an Unown during your travels.
