Awkward Video Game Kisses Are Back in Mass Effect: Andromeda

Just as strange as ever.

As was teased yesterday, today a new cinematic trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda was released and it is surprisingly packed with a solid amount of content for a 1:43 long video. First take a look for yourself below:

We’ve seen plenty of the female version of Ryder in Mass Effect: Andromeda’s promotional material, but in this trailer, male Ryder gets the spotlight. In this new trailer, we see him get into an unfortunate run in with the resident bad guy, Archon. Archon makes a pretty generous offer to Ryder: surrender and avoid getting burned to death. Chances are our answer will be more complicated than that.

Moving on we get little tastes of what Andromeda’s adventure is going to entail: new squad mates, friends, enemies, bad ass Krogans, you know the drill. But, more importantly, we briefly get to see male Ryder engaged in a delightfully awkward make out session with a buddy of his. We knew it was coming, but it’s not any less weird/great any time we get to see it in action.

We’re still mostly just watching, instead of learning about any specific details about how Andromeda will play, but we’ll take what we can get when we get it ahead of its Mar. 21 release date.
