Pokemon Sun and Moon – When to Trade Pokemon

Recommended Videos

As you might have expected, the trading function is back in Pokemon Sun and Moon, and this will allow you to engage in Wonder Trade, and exchange Pokemon with your friends or other players online. You can access this feature once the professor upgrades your Pokedex and gives you the Rotom Pokedex.

With the Rotom Pokedex, press X on your 3DS to bring up the game menu and you should see the option that says ‘Festival Plaza.’ Select that and you’ll be transported to the Plaza, which is where you can do all sorts of online things with your friends. From here, you can select the Trade option in the lower screen of your 3DS, and start up a trade connection online, or check out the Wonder Trade feature. Do note that if you want to trade Pokemon with people on your friends list, both of you have to be connected to the internet before you can visit each other’s Festival Plazas. And that’s all you need to know about trading in Sun and Moon.
