Gears of War 4: How to Save

How to Save – Gears of War 4

Recommended Videos

Gears of War 4 tells the story of JD Fenix, Kait, Del, and Oscar as they investigate a new threat against humanity. As you explore the recovering world of Sera and take on the DeeBees and the Swarm, you may find yourself having to take a break from the action and picking it up later on.

In order to ensure you don’t lose any progress, you’ll want to save where you’re at. Unfortunately, Gears of War 4 doesn’t allow you to save manually, but it does have a pretty extensive autosave system that will make sure that you’re never too far behind where you stopped. Though it’s likely you may have to replay the previous few minutes of action, you won’t have to worry about starting a whole chapter all over again because it didn’t save.

To tell when your game has saved, you should see The Coalition’s logo briefly rotate in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen and ‘Checkpoint Reached’ appear next to it. Once this has disappeared, you’re all set for backing out of the game and picking up the action from that exact point.

That’s all there is to saving your progress in Gears of War 4. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our Gears of War 4 wiki.
