How to Switch Weapon Forms – God Eater 2: Rage Burst

Recommended Videos

When playing God Eater 2: Rage Burst, you will be given one weapon: a God Arc. This weapon can switch between three different forms to suit any situation – melee, gun, and shield. Being able to rapidly transition between the three is what keeps God Eaters (that’s you, the players) alive.

When a mission begins, you will automatically be in melee weapon mode. This is useful for up-close encounters with the various Aragami found throughout the game. However, if you want to deal with a sniper that’s on the other side of the field, you’ll want to switch to gun mode. To switch simply tap R1/RB. When in gun mode you can fire bullets as long as you have Oracle Power. To switch back to your melee weapon, simply tap R1/RB again.

If you ever want to go into shield mode, hold R1/RB and then hold Circle/B. As long as you hold down Circle or B, you’ll stay with your shield up. You cannot move in this mode, but your shield will be able to block a lot of damage. When you want to exit this mode, simply release the button.
