Starlight Interstellar Theater (4 Star Cores)
Fallout 4’s Nuka-World expansion tasks players with seeking a lot of different items, usually for great reward. One such quest, called Star Control, has players seek out Star Cores. While only 20 are needed to complete the basic quest, finding all 35 will get you the Quantum Power Armor.
After entering Starlight Interstellar Theater, head straight and keep to your left. There will be a broken down bathroom with a hole in one of the walls. The core is right on the ground in that hole.
Head out of that bathroom then head left. You’ll find yourself in a theater full of little rockets. In the back is a control panel with your second Star Core.
Turn around and walk back towards the theater screen then take the door to your right. You’ll see an elevator with a hallway to the right of it. Go down that hallway and make a left into a sort of rest area. The next room has a control panel with another Star Core.
Head back towards the theater, but make a left before entering and head down the hall towards an elevator. Take the elevator up and you’ll find another Star Core in a control panel.
Vault-Tec: Among the Stars (6 Star Cores)
After you enter, head to your right into that hallway that makes it look like you’re going warp-speed. You’ll reach a room that looks like an astronaut landing, with a small room at its back. You’ll find a Star Core in here.
Leave the small room and then turn back towards that bright hallway, but before entering, head right and you’ll see a walkway. Follow the walkway down two flights of stairs and into some living quarters. When you enter this living space look left and you’ll see a small control room. Enter and find your next Star Core.
Exit the room and go directly to your right. There will be another room you can enter with a crib inside of it. Continue through there and you’ll come across yet another control room with another three Cores across the various panels.
Go back out through the room with the crib and make a right. There will be a door to your right filled with gas, ignore it. Hope over the railing in front of you, and head towards the Protectron containers. There’s a control panel just to the left of them with the final Core of the area.
RobCo Battlezone (6 Star Cores)
Once you enter the building, head straight and keep to your left as you pass the sign saying “RobCo Battlezone.” You’ll find yourself in a large area, but look to your left and find a staircase right next to you once you enter – it will have a red “Employees Only” sign next to it. There will be two Cores in the room at the top of the stairs.
Go back down the steps and keep to your left. There’s an entrance to the left of the large cage, enter and go straight when you see the fork. You’ll see two more Cores directly ahead of you.
Go back the way you came and this time take the left path at the fork. Down the stairs is a red computer. You’ll find a Core inside of it.
Go back out and and head to the passage between the stairs to your left. You’ll find the last Core behind the counter just inside.
Nuka-Galaxy (7 Star Cores)
Make your way through the line for the roller coaster. When facing the track (with the red numbers at your feet in front of you), look right to find the control room. There’s a Star Core inside of there.
You’ll find a staircase at the back of the control room. Go down and you’ll be in a large empty room with another staircase on the other side. Climb the staircase and enter the door to your left and follow the path. You’ll be in the roller coaster room with all of the fake asteroids. Cut across to find the staircase leading down. Follow the wall to your right around the room and you’ll come across a small hallway with Protectrons and a computer terminal that houses a Star Core.
Right next to that computer is another staircase leading down, follow it then enter the room straight ahead that contains another staircase. Go down and you’ll come across an elevator in a hallway. The elevator takes you up where you’ll find another staircase across the room. Going down will show a computer ahead with another Star Core.
Continue down the stairs after grabbing the last Core, and cross the field of rocks and grass. Just follow the path and you’ll reach a doorway. Enter and go straight and you’ll see yet another staircase (this building loves stairs) to your right. Climb all the way to the top of the tower keeping to your left (there are 4 sets of stairs) to find a Core in a computer.
Head down the last flight of stairs you just climbed and you’ll see that there was another set of steps to your right that lead to a walkway. Cross the walkway, head right, and continue to climb towards the little UFOs until you hit a room with more roller coaster track and another staircase at its end. Follow, and you’ll be at the start of the ride. The Control Panel near the busted cars will house a Star Core.
Jump across the tracks and enter the room you see there. Climb up and another computer to the far left will house your next Core.
There’s a small computer room off to the side of the room you just entered. The final Core is here.
Galactic Zone Grounds (7 Star Cores)
After obtaining the previous Cores, you’ll have enough to access the mainframe for your quest. Go through with it, then search the floor of the room you’re in (it’s the one with the cool Power Armor locked in the middle). You’ll find a Core on the ground near a body.
Go outside and face the building you were just in so you can see the Star Control sign and the Power Armor teasing you. Hug the left side of the building, which will lead you down an alley of sorts, and then head left when you can. You’ll find a large yellow piece of equipment and another core beside a body to the left.
Now go and stand outside of the RobCo Battlezone. Face the building so you can see the sign, then head left. Keep to your right as you move straight and you’ll see a ramp curving upwards. Right before that ramp is a control panel with a Star Core.
Head back to the front of the Star Control building. It will be the Starpoint Nuka waypoint on your map. Face the building and take the stairs to your right. At the top of the stairs, head left and enter the large, round room. There’s a Star Core in one of the display classes towards the back of the room.
Head to the front of Nuka-Galaxy. Directly across is a red building that says “Arcjet G-Force” on the outside. Enter and climb the stairs all the way to the top to find a Star Core in the controls.
Go back outside and face Nuka-Galaxy again. Head to the right of the ramp leading to the entrance. You’ll find a small white trailer with a Star Core inside.
The final Core in this area requires completing the main Nuka-World quest. Once you do, head back to the Star Control building and make your way to the round room at the top. You can now use the elevator in the center of this room. All the way at the top, is a round room that lets you look out over the park. There’s a red computer near the center that has the Core.
There Are 5 Star Cores Located Outside of Nuka-World’s Galactic Zone
Head outside of Doc Phosphate’s Saloon in Dry Rock Gulch. With the saloon behind you, you should see a lamp post up ahead. Right next to that lamp post is a Core.
Head to the Nuka-World Junkyard to the west of the map. It’s outside of the park in a wide open area. You’ll find a large brown barn just east of this location. Go inside and head upstairs. You’ll find a computer at one end of the top level with a Star Core inside.
In Nuka-Town, USA, head into the Nuka-Cade. Go straight as if you’re going to redeem tickets, then head right and go straight down. There’s a Weapons Workbench in one of the rooms and you’ll find the Star Core sitting right on top.
Inside the Nuka-Cola Bottling plant is a large, glowing blue machine. Just to the right of it is a Star Core laying on the ground.
For the final Core, head to the Nuka-Town Market, you can find this Star Core on a small table with a “SALE” sign sitting out in the open.
Once you have all 35 Star Cores, head back to the Star Control building in the Galactic Zone, place them all where they belong on the computer and open the display case using the terminal. You now have a Quantum X-01 Mk. V suit of Power Armor. Enjoy.
