7 Days To Die: How to Sleep

No nighty nights for you.

7 Days To Die is a survival/crafting game from The Fun Pimps that tasks players with building up a strong fort to survive against the hordes of bloodthirsty zombies. In most survival games, players will usually be able to hole up in a camp at night and fall asleep while waiting for morning to arrive once again. However, this game works a little differently.

When night falls, you don’t actually have an option to go to sleep. And no, the sleeping bags and bedrolls don’t let you sleep either. These items can actually be placed on the map to act as spawn points, just in case you die in the game. Instead of letting you sleep, the game insists that you stay awake and look for a safe place to hide while avoiding the zombies that are wandering outside. You’ll have to stay awake and constantly make sure that you aren’t in any immediate danger.

If you’re just starting out in the game, I suggest spending the nighttime crafting your tools and resources that you’ll need for the next day. Since you can’t sleep in the game, it’s best to work on your crafting so that you’re all ready to go once morning arrives again.
