Today, Activision announced that the 2013 Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC game, Deadpool would be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The game is set to release this year on November 17, according to GameStop‘s Twitter page. Both versions will be retailing for $49.99 upon the game’s release. The right price for a remake of a 2 year old game if you ask us.
All eyes will be on Activision this time as they attempt to give High Moon Studios, Deadpool a more impressive update onto the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 than they achieved with the Prototype games back in July.
Both games in the series were released in one package for $49.99. However, upon closer inspection, it was found that the “full HD rendering, improved framerate, and higher resolution textures and effects” came at a price on Xbox One. When Eurogamer took an in-depth look, they found that the Xbox One version of Prototype 2 ran slower than the Xbox 360 version from 2012. That’s how now not to re-release a game on more powerful consoles Activision.
Let’s hope that this time Activision get it right with Deadpool. The re-release of the game would tie in nicely with the release of the Deadpool film only a few months later in February.
