Bad news for PC gamers looking to pick up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Konami has revealed that PC gamers won’t be able to pre-load the game ahead of its release.
The news was revealed on Twitter when Konami’s community manager Robert Allen Peeler revealed in an exchange with fans that “Unfortunately PC Steam will not have a preload option,” while the option will be available to console owners.
Peeler also added on Twitter that this is a “pretty common practice for PC/Steam users,” yet he didn’t give any specific reason to why PC gamers won’t be able to pre-load the game.
This news means that PC gamers will sadly have to wait until Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is released on Sept 1st before they can download it.
