So far so good if you’re a Destiny fan hoping that House of Wolves will be released on time. Despite rumors that the delay of Update 1.2.0 might cause issues with Destiny’s May 19th House of Wolves release date, a new gameplay trailer released today by Bungie seems to confirm that they are sticking to their planned release date.
The new gameplay trailer, that shows off more of what we have seen from Destiny Expansion Pack II: House of Wolves over the last few weeks, ends with a May 19th release date confirmation. While it’s possible that despite the trailer, Bungie may decide to push the House of Wolves date back anyway, it should make Guardians feel a little more confident that they will get their hands on the game this coming Tuesday. So far the only thing we know is that Update 1.2.0 is still being worked on and that the weekly reset will be pushed back to coincide with the launch of House of Wolves.
As for the trailer itself, it shows off more scenes from the upcoming expansion pack. This includes the new strike, The Shadow Thief, that has in a way gotten the short shrift when compared to all of the new activities coming way by the expansion. You’ll also get a peak of some new scenes from the new story missions, PvP maps, Trials of Osiris, and the new characters and vendors. In addition, House of Wolves will be adding the new cooperative arena mode, Prison of Elders.
If there are any changes to the status of Update 1.2.0 or if the House of Wolves release date gets pushed back, we’ll be sure to let you know.
