Microsoft have teamed up with HBO in order to allow the first episode of Game of Thrones Season 5 to be available for free on Xbox Live to all US customers.
From now until April 16th, Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners in the US can stream the first episode of Game of Thrones season 5 for free through Xbox Live. Right now only US customers can take advantage of this deal but it’s still not clear if other regions will also get to do the same.
Along with the free episode, there will also be additional content including behind the scenes videos, character galleries, and blooper reels. The entire season can be purchased through the HBO GO app which is available on the Xbox and other platforms like the PlayStation 4.
The first season of season 5 aired in the US last night and will air in the UK tonight. To celebrate this, TellTale Games have also made the first episode of their Game of Thrones series free on Android devices.
