New Monster Hunter: World Trailer Reveals Palico Customization

Partners 'meow' and forever.

Capcom has released a new trailer for Monster Hunter: World, featuring the franchise’s iconic feline companions. From hunting to cooking tasty meals, Palicoes are quite the versatile partners to have around.

As in previous installments, players can customize their palico with different armor sets and weapons. Additionally, it appears that your Palico’s physical appearance can be changed more in depth with tools to tweak its color and fur patterns.

In other news, the game’s producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, recently discussed Capcom’s plans for post-launch updates. “What I can specifically say is that we plan to add new monsters and such in hopes that users play for a long time,” he said. “As for what kind of monsters will be added and so on, information will be shared later on, so please look forward to it.”

Monster Hunter: World releases Jan. 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version of the game has yet to receive a release date. Stay tuned for more updates leading up to the game’s launch.
