The Destiny 2 PC Beta Finally Starts at the End of August

Time to get going, Guardian.

PC fans looking to get their Destiny 2 on, rejoice! The PC beta is dropping on August 28 for anyone who’s preordered the game and August 29 for the rest of the world. It’s going on through August 31, and it’ll feature several tweaks from the console versions including improved matchmaking.

You’ll also be able to run the PC beta in 4Kw with uncapped framerates, mouse and keyboard support, adjustable graphics and 21:9 monitor support, according to Nvidia. You can see it in action in the new PC beta trailer, which shows off a bit of what you can expect coming down the pipeline when the beta’s available.

You’ll get to play the opening campaign mission, co-op Strike mode with the “Inverted Spire,” competitive multiplayer and more. Essentially, if it was there on the console beta you’ll get to play it here too, though if you played the original console beta you’ll notice things running a little more smoothly, most likely.

Check out the trailer below and get ready for the PC version of Destiny 2 to launch on October 24, after the console release happens on September 6.
