This NES Classic Edition Extension Cable Will Solve Your Gamepad Problems

NES Classic, nes

In case sitting 2 feet away from your TV wasn’t cutting it.

The NES Classic Edition is a miniature version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System, and it turns out that the controller cable is way too miniature for comfort. The 2.5 foot cable that connects the gamepad to the system is keeping players uncomfortably close to their televisions, and as much as we love playing some classic Legend of Zelda, we don’t love it being burned into our retinas this viciously.

If you’re looking for a solution, Nyko’s NES Classic Edition Extend Link can help buy you a few more feet. The extension cable is 6 feet in length, pretty much doubling the TV-to-eyeball safety zone. Nyko is also offering a wireless NES Classic Edition Controller for $20, which operates up to 30 feet away from the console.

Whatever controller setup you go with, this mini-NES packs 30 classic games for players to enjoy. Here’s our ranking of all the games on offer, and for those looking forward to an SNES Classic Edition, check out the 40 games it definitely needs to have.
